Chamberlain Park

The Beacon

Chamberlain Park has served as the beacon for its surrounding North Tulsa community for over 60 years. Generations of North Tulsans have grown up playing sports here with friends and family, taking classes at the famed Jane A. Malone Recreational Center, and cooling off on hot summer days.

Studio Zewde, in partnership with the George Kaiser Family Foundation and Tulsa Parks, will build off of the centrality and success of the13-acre park in designing its next evolution. With a new 20,000 square foot recreation center bolstered by a landscape featuring a suite of new shade structures, a robust tree canopy, seating, improved walking paths, picnic lawn and amphitheater, community garden, and new sports fields and courts, the landscape design at Chamberlain Park will galvanize its identity as a treasured neighborhood beacon for recreation and gathering, while providing for the community’s pressing contemporary needs.
