The Landscape of Learning

Uncommon Schools is a nonprofit organization that starts and manages urban charter public schools that work to close the achievement gap and prepare students to graduate from college. Camden Prep is a new high school situated on a 4-acre site in the Whitman Park neighborhood of Camden, New Jersey. Studio Zewde is working with DIGSAU architects to design a landscape that focuses on three big ideas: the legacy of the college campus landscape as design precedent, the introduction of a robust tree canopy, and the development of a circuit of activity and wellness.
